How to make a quote picture
- Choose “Classic quote” or “Dark quote” from the templates.
- Double-click the quote text and type or paste your quote.
- Change the author line. For your own words, use your name or handle.
- Pick a background color, gradient or photo, then download.
Typography makes a quote
A quote image is almost all text, so the font does most of the work.
- Serif fonts such as Playfair Display or Lora feel classic and thoughtful — good for literature, philosophy and calm brands.
- Bold sans-serif fonts like Archivo Black or Montserrat feel modern and motivational.
- Script fonts such as Great Vibes are best kept for one or two words, like a name, not whole sentences.
Set line height around 1.2–1.4 for multi-line quotes and leave generous margins. Empty space makes a short sentence feel more important.
Quotes and copyright
Short quotes from famous people are commonly shared, but some modern quotes, song lyrics and passages from books are protected by copyright. When in doubt, use your own words, quotes from public-domain authors, or reviews and testimonials you have permission to share. Always credit the author.
Ideas for quote posts
- Customer testimonials with the customer’s first name.
- A weekly motivational quote series in a fixed style.
- Key takeaways from your blog post or podcast episode.
