How to make a logo
- Start from “Round badge” or “Wordmark”.
- Type your brand name and pick a font that fits your personality: geometric (Poppins, Montserrat) for modern brands, serif (Playfair Display) for premium, script (Pacifico) for friendly and casual.
- Add or change a symbol from the Elements panel — a circle, star, leaf emoji or simple shape.
- Choose one main color and, at most, one accent color.
- Download PNG transparent to use the logo on any background.
What makes a good logo
- Simple: it must work small — as a favicon, profile picture or on a pen.
- Readable: avoid thin script fonts for the main name.
- Works in one color: test it in black and white. If it falls apart, simplify.
- Distinctive: do not copy well-known logos. Besides being unoriginal, it can infringe trademarks.
Logo files you will need
| Use | Recommended |
|---|---|
| Website header | Transparent PNG, horizontal version |
| Social media profile | Square PNG, symbol or initials, 1000 × 1000 |
| Favicon | Simple square symbol |
| High-resolution PNG or PDF |
Use the Resize panel to make a horizontal version (for example 2000 × 600) from the same design.
A logo made from free templates and fonts is a good start for a small project. Before registering a trademark, check that your name and logo are not similar to existing marks in your country.
