How to make a certificate
- Open the “Classic certificate” template (A4 landscape, 1754 × 1240 px at 150 DPI).
- Change the title: Achievement, Completion, Participation, Appreciation or Excellence.
- Type the recipient’s name and the reason for the award.
- Add your organisation’s logo from Uploads and the date.
- Download as PDF and print, or send as PNG by email.
Making many certificates
For a class or a team, design the certificate once and save it with File → Save project file. Then for each person, change only the name and download. The design and spacing stay identical.
Certificate wording examples
- Completion: “has successfully completed the 8-week Introduction to Photography course.”
- Achievement: “in recognition of outstanding sales results in 2026.”
- Appreciation: “with sincere thanks for your volunteer work at the City Food Bank.”
- Participation: “for taking part in the Spring Science Fair.”
Printing tips
Print on 160–250 g/m² paper or card stock. Choose “Fit to page” off and “Actual size” on. Leave signature lines blank and sign by hand — it makes the certificate feel personal and official.
Ontools certificates are for recognition and celebration. Do not use them to imitate diplomas, licenses or official documents of other organisations.
