How to design a business card
- Choose “Classic card” or “Dark card”. The canvas is 1050 × 600 pixels — 3.5 × 2 inches at 300 DPI.
- Enter your name, job title, phone, email and website.
- Add your logo from Uploads (a transparent PNG looks best).
- Download PDF for printing. For a two-sided card, design the back as a second design and download it separately.
Standard business card sizes
| Region | Size | Pixels at 300 DPI |
|---|---|---|
| US / Canada | 3.5 × 2 in (88.9 × 50.8 mm) | 1050 × 600 |
| Europe | 85 × 55 mm | 1004 × 650 |
| Japan | 91 × 55 mm | 1075 × 650 |
For a European card, open Resize and enter 1004 × 650.
Bleed and safe area
Professional printers cut cards from big sheets, and the cut can move by a millimeter. Keep all text at least 3 mm (about 36 px at 300 DPI) inside the edge. If your background color goes to the edge and your printer asks for bleed, add 3 mm on each side: 1122 × 672 px for a US card.
Business card design tips
- Less is more: name, role, one phone, one email, website.
- Minimum text size around 7–8 pt (about 30 px on this canvas).
- Use your brand colors and the same fonts as your website.
- Use the back side for your logo or a short slogan.
