How to design an event poster
- Start from “Festival poster”, “Event night” or “Modern poster”.
- Make the event name the largest text on the poster.
- Add the date, time and place as the second level — clear and easy to find.
- List performers, speakers or highlights in smaller text.
- Add a QR code (Elements → QR code) that links to tickets or the event page.
- Download a PDF for printing and a PNG for Instagram and Facebook.
The information every event poster needs
| Must have | Nice to have |
|---|---|
| Event name | Line-up or program |
| Date and time | Ticket price |
| Venue / address | Sponsors’ logos |
| Where to get tickets or info | Age limit, dress code |
Style by event type
- Concerts and nightlife: dark backgrounds, neon accents, condensed fonts (Bebas Neue, Anton).
- Festivals and summer events: warm gradients, big sun or circle shapes, playful type.
- Workshops and conferences: clean layout, plenty of white space, one accent color.
- Charity and community events: real photos of people, friendly fonts, a clear “how to help”.
- Sports: diagonal shapes, team colors, the match time very large.
One design, every channel
After the print version, use Resize to create an Instagram post (1080 × 1350), a Story (1080 × 1920) and a Facebook event cover (custom 1920 × 1005). Keep the same colors so people recognise the event everywhere.
