Quick Start (How OnTools Works)
Most tools follow the same workflow:
-
Open a tool from /tools/ or a category page
-
Add your input (image/file/text/values)
-
Adjust options (size, format, quality, etc.)
-
Preview and export your output
Tip: For the best results, start with the original file and avoid multiple re-exports (especially for compressed formats).
Privacy & File Handling
Do you upload my files to your server?
In most cases, no. Many features process files directly in your browser, meaning your files are not uploaded.
If a future tool requires server-side processing, we will clearly state this on that tool page before you use it.
Do you store my images or text inputs?
We do not aim to store your files. When processing happens in your browser, files never leave your device.
We may keep limited anonymous logs for security and performance (for example, request volume and error counts), but not your file contents. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
Tool Compatibility
What image formats do you support?
Most image tools support:
-
JPG / JPEG
-
PNG
-
WEBP
Some tools may have limits depending on your browser/device capabilities.
Troubleshooting (Fast Fixes)
A tool is stuck on “Loading tool…”
Try the following:
-
Refresh the page (Ctrl+R / Cmd+R)
-
Hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 on Windows)
-
Disable ad blockers temporarily to test
-
Try another browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge)
-
Try Incognito/Private mode (helps rule out extensions)
If the issue continues, email: support@ontools.site with the tool URL and your browser/device.
My download button doesn’t work
Common fixes:
-
Refresh and try again
-
Check that your browser allows downloads
-
On mobile, confirm you have enough free storage
-
Clear browser cache and reload
-
If you’re using a VPN, try disabling it briefly
When emailing support, please include:
-
Tool name + URL
-
Device/browser (example: Windows Chrome, iPhone Safari)
-

Why does the preview look different from the downloaded file?
Previews may be scaled or compressed for display (especially on mobile). The downloaded file is generated from your selected settings (size, format, quality). If precision matters, always verify the final downloaded output.
